Local Lifestyle

This picturesque bayside town is highlighted by beautiful hillside homes and high-end restaurants, but the vibe here is laid-back and unpretentious. Neighbors greet each other as they walk along the many waterfront paths or wander the specialty shops on Ark Row. Everyone heads outdoors to enjoy the rugged terrain of the hills and the peaceful waters of the bay on warm summer days, and it's easy to access downtown San Francisco by car or with a short ferry ride. Despite its proximity to San Francisco, life here is a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Tiburon offers incredible shopping and dining experiences for locals and visitors alike. Reserve an outdoor table overlooking the beautiful marina at Luna Blu, nationally acclaimed for its handmade pasta and sustainable, local seafood. This excellent Sicilian restaurant offers an authentic Italian experience in beautiful surroundings.  The Caprice, a local favorite, enjoys an intimate, over-the-water atmosphere with incredible views of Angel Island. Classic Euro-American cuisine and local wines are perfect for lingering over the stunning views, and it's worth saving room for dessert.

Try something new at The Caviar Co., with their tasting menu of various caviars, blinis, and sparkling wines. Informative hosts and impeccable service make this chic restaurant a great place to bring guests or to celebrate a special occasion.

Shopping abounds on Ark Row, Tiburon's Main Street, where great shopping and dining abound. Get your fill of boutiques, art galleries, and quaint local cafes in this high-end shopping district. Specialty shops offer boutique clothing, hard-to-find spices, gourmet candy, and high-quality jewelry in this hip, fun area of town.

Things to Do

Tiburon offers an array of things to do, from water sports and kayaking to island excursions. Start your day with a walk around Shoreline Park, where panoramic views of Angel Island, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the San Francisco skyline provide incredible scenery. The park's main building was built in 1886 and now houses the Railroad and Ferry Depot Museum, detailing Tiburon's rich history. Pick up the ferry to Angel Island for a day of hiking and sightseeing on the largest island in San Francisco Bay. Now a state park, this island offers some of the best views in the Bay Area, along with excellent hiking and biking trails and several historic sites.

In the summers, don't miss Friday Nights on Main, where Main Street closes to all vehicles and transforms into a giant, al fresco dining area for local restaurants, and live music provides excellent entertainment. On warm summer days, head to the water for kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, or boating at one of the many marinas in the area. Pull up your boat to Sam's Anchor Cafe, a historic icon in business since the 1920s. This restaurant is most famous for its excellent brunch, which always draws a crowd. Hiking and biking are popular throughout Tiburon, with abundant trails in the hills and a bike-friendly vibe throughout the city.
